Robert (Bob) Herman
Bob retired in 2022 as the Executive Vice President of Refining at Phillips 66, a diversified energy manufacturing and logistics company. With over 40 years of experience in the energy sector, Bob has held several key positions throughout his career. He served as EVP of Midstream, SVP of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Projects and Procurement, and was a member of the Board of Directors for Phillips 66 Partners and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.
Bob’s career began with Sohio in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska as an Equipment Engineer but he spent a significant portion of his career in refining. He worked multiple roles across refining and the energy sector including an assignment as President of Refining, Marketing and Transportation in Europe. His time in Midstream and with the CP Chem Board gave him opportunities to interact with customers and governments across the world.
Bob’s leadership has been marked by a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and environmental stewardship. His strategic vision and dedication have driven significant improvements in the organizations he has been part of. Now retired, Bob continues to share his expertise and insights.

Brett Hughes
Brett is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in the global energy sector. A proud native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
Brett began his professional journey as a co-owner of Trident Chemical Co., a water and process treatment company that served the petrochemical industries across Louisiana and Texas. Under his leadership, Trident became a trusted partner in the region, known for its technical expertise and customer-focused solutions. The company’s success led to its acquisition by Nalco Chemical Company, a global leader in water treatment and process improvement.
Following the acquisition, Brett transitioned into a global leadership role at Nalco, serving for 10 years as the Global Vice President of Corporate Accounts. In this capacity, he was instrumental in expanding strategic partnerships, driving international growth, and delivering value to some of the world’s largest industrial clients.
Today, Brett serves as the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Cajun Industries, a large nationally recognized industrial contractor known for building complex facilities across the United States.
As he approaches retirement, Brett remains passionate about giving back to the industry that has shaped his life and career. His appointment to the board of Rizon reflects his desire to continue contributing his knowledge, mentorship, and strategic insight to the next generation of industry leaders.

Jim Mahoney
Jim Mahoney is a retired Oil and Gas Executive with over 30 years of experience at Koch Industries. His leadership has been marked by a commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability, driving Koch Industries and Flint Hills Resources to best-in-class safety, environmental, and reliability performance.
Jim’s career in the industry has been distinguished by his strategic vision and dedication to transformative change. He has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the complexities of the oil and gas sector, leading initiatives that have significantly improved operational efficiency and environmental stewardship.
Since retiring, Jim has continued to lend his expertise as a consultant and mentor, sharing insights with the next generation of leaders in the industry. His passion for nurturing emerging talent is evident in his ongoing involvement in various advisory roles.

Don Porter
Don Porter is a seasoned executive with over four decades of leadership experience spanning the energy, finance, and consulting sectors. Currently serving in several consulting capacities, he leverages his extensive background to drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements within companies.
Don held several significant roles at BP, including (most recently) Senior Vice President of Global Refining, where he managed refining operations across multiple regions. His career at BP also encompassed positions such as Vice President of Refining at the Whiting Refinery and President of BP Pipelines North America. These roles underscored his expertise in refining operations, supply chain management, and organizational leadership.
Residing in the Greater Houston area, Don continues to contribute to various advisory boards and consulting projects, utilizing his vast experience to mentor emerging leaders and organizations.

Cody Nath
Cody Nath serves as the President and CEO of Refined Technologies (RTI), a privately-owned industrial services company dedicated to serving the global Oil & Gas industry with unparalleled excellence. Cody has extensive experience in various facets of the energy sector, beginning with his early tenure at Koch Industries and continuing with his significant contributions to RTI since 2006.
Under Cody’s leadership, RTI has experienced remarkable growth, with revenue increasing by 300% and the company now employing over 600 individuals, referred to as “Artisans,” across 20 global locations. RTI is renowned for its exceptional faith-based culture, which drives client and Artisan satisfaction. The company boasts a retention rate of 90% or higher, thanks to a growth environment, and a focus on Artisan wholeness.
RTI's mission statement, “Honor God Always, Help People Develop, Pursue Excellence, and Earn a Profit,” reflects the company's commitment to holistic development and community support. Through RTI's partnership with World Vision, more than 362,000 individuals in Honduras now have access to clean water, and over 600 children receive support through sponsorships by Artisans. Additionally, Artisans have the opportunity to travel to Honduras to meet their sponsored children and learn more about the water projects funded by their daily work.
In 2015, Cody helped found the Crosswalk Center, a non-profit organization that facilitates a second chance hiring program. This program has proven highly successful in lowering recidivism rates for ex-offenders, providing community reintegration support, and accounts for 80% of RTI shop maintenance staff.
Outside of his role as CEO of RTI, Cody is passionate about investing in entrepreneurs and coaching, mentoring, and advising current and future leaders. Cody holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from the University of Texas.
